About FnaticMSI Play

PLAY is a video gaming tournament site, hosting cups from different games. These tournamentsareusually held on a Sunday in varied games. The aim is to support different communities. Also to enhance the enjoyment for a wide assortment of gamers worldwide.
Roots of PLAY started to spread out in June 2009, when we hosted our 1st tournament, Warcraft III 1v1 tournament.Since then19 more tournaments have occurred.

PLAY tournament series run by FnaticMSI and backed by it’s Sponsors have been an inspiration to many gamers for almost a year now. We are looking forward to continuing in thisfashionfrom May, with greater passion, better platform and with greater backing.

To celebrate the launch of the latest gaming laptop from the MSI family, the GT 660, we are proud to announce a series of tournaments under the campaign entitled "Beat It".

We are more than happy to present to you all a brand new platform for all the future FnaticMSI PLAY tournaments, not only with a new design but new features which will make gamers feel comfortable playing our tournaments. The campaign will kick off with a Call of Duty 4 5on5 tournament, where we we'll be accepting 64 teams from all over the Europe to battle for the prize purse of $1800. 

The series of tournaments will culminate with a QuakeLive Duel and finally Counter Strike 1.6 5on5tournaments, where players and teams will have a chance to qualify for the tournament in Asia with a$45,000 prize purse. Both CS 1.6 and QL tournaments will be divided in two phases, qualification and a finals stage. Qualifying for the LAN event in Beijing means that team's travel costs and accommodation will be paid.

Amateur teams and players will have their chance to qualify for the finals and battle invited duellers in the QuakeLive tournament and top European teams in CS 1.6. Besides qualifying for the LAN event in Asia, winners of QuakeLive and CS 1.6 tournaments will have their chance to win many other prizes.

A LAN event will take place in Beijing, China, on the 4th of September which wraps up the "BEAT IT" campaign with more than $64,000 in total to be handed out. More information about the LAN event will be disclosed shortly. During the span of 2 months, we will try to provide the best possible coverage in cooperation with our coverage partners and make many more give aways, contests for our beloved fans and our community.
