At the end of the second day of our COD4 5on5 tournament, we caught up with Froster for a quick interview.

Hello Froster. What do you think about the tournament so far?

Hi, I think personally we have had a pretty succesfull tournament so far, had a few easy games but we managed to beat mTw online, which is awesome.

 

ZeroPoint have taken out Dignitas. Do you see that as an surprise?

If you just look at the score, yes. But the fact Dignitas had a merc (L4mun) whose French and doesnt really understand English kinda explains the score. I think in a normal match with normal lineups Dignitas would win, but it would still be a close match nonetheless.

 

What about the Russian team RAGE defeating H2K and advancing to 4th round where they beat infinitus-eSports? Did you expect them to perform this strong in the tournament and actually find themselves in the semi-finals tomorrow?

RAGE have always been a good team, many people have been whining about them but they dont deserve the shit they get from other teams, though it must be said H2k had 2 mercs and would probably have won with their normal lineup, though like the zP-Dig game it would have been close.

 

Tell me about the mySKI issue and them found cheating in the tournament. Did you actually see that coming and what's youropinion on cheating and using third party programs in online cups in order to reach the prizes?

 Yes I saw that coming because everyone knew that chris-w0w (a known hacker) and his friends are in that team, even before the cup started. Its a shame that it wasnt dealt with before the cup started because now they knocked out quite a few teams who wont get another chance. Obviously its really lame to cheat for prizes, but even cheating in public is lame and should be punished with a lifetime ban in my opinion.

 

You are going up against ZeroPoint tomorrow. What are your expectations from the match?

 We have played them a lot before and its always a close match, we havent really practiced that much with our new player (king) yet, but it will be a good way to see how good we are at the moment. However, I am confident we can beat them if we just play our best.

 

What is your prediction on the match between Reason Gaming and RAGE?

 Reason should win that match, but like I did in my World Cup predictions, I'm gonna go with RAGE, 13-10 11-13 13-11.

 

First thought about the organization of the tournament?

 To be honest I think it was kinda messy before it started, it was announced like 3 days or so before it was scheduled to start, but because of some bugs it was hard to sign up and check-in etc.Also the dates the cup was played at are really weird.. nobody ever plays at Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon.If I were to host a cup myself I would definitely go with matches on weekdays + sunday around 19:00 - 22:00, like most cups do.However now that its underway I must say the admins are doing a good job and its pretty well organised.
