Half-Life: Counter-Strike
  1. CS 1on1 General Rules
    1. Matches are to be played in the MR15 Format.
    2. Mathes are best-of-one in a single elimination bracket.
    3. It's both players' resonsibility that the server is correctly configured. We advise teams to download our server config (see server-specific section).
    4. PLayers should show up 30 minutes prior game start for a server discussion.
    5. All players are required to record in-game demos. Failing to provide your demos on the request of a game admin can result in a forfeit loss.
    6. Prize money will be delivered via Paypal, thus you are obligate to have a Paypal account in order to receive prize money.
    7. CS 1on1 Player Obligations
      1. All pparticipants need to be a member of the play.fnatic.com community.
      2. Players are required to set their Steam ID on their UGAME.net profile. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
      3. Every player is required to read and understand the tournament rules, any inquiries will be answered by admins on our IRC Channel (Quakenet/#fnatic.play).
      4. Each player has to be present on IRC, at #fnatic.play channel at least 30 minutes before the tournaments start.
      5. We advise players to use a downloaded GUI such as ESL, ESWC or Kode5.
      6. The following network settings have to be used by all players:
        • ex_interp “0.01”
        • rate “25000”
        • cl_updaterate “101”
        • cl_cmdrate “101”
      7. The following video settings have to be used by all players:
        • Color quality set to highest (32bit)
        • Gamma and brightness can be adjusted to a maximum of 30%
        • It is strictly forbidden to tweak/adjust the R or GL commands. For example "r_drawviewmodel" and "gl_picmip"
    8. Counter-Strike 1.6 Server settings and regulations
      1. If the server crashes before the 4th round has started, the game will be restarted from the beginning.
      2. If the server crashes during or after the 4th round the current score will remain and the game will continue.
      3. Fair play is always expected when your opponent has problems with their connection and/or Steam.

About PLAY

Play is a video gaming tournament site, hosting fun, one day only, cups. These tournaments will usually be held on a sunday in varied games, modes and rules (E.G. Counterstrike 5v5, or CoD4 5v5 S&D).
